Seddons GSC is pleased to have advised premium skin care brand Skin Rocks and its founders, leading skincare expert Caroline Hirons and business partner Alexandra Forbes, on their Series A equity investment from venture capital investment firms Redrice Ventures and JamJar Investments. The successful completion of this funding round marks an exciting milestone for the brand, as it prepares for the next stage of its growth and international expansion.
Seddons GSC Corporate Partner Ilan Kotkis and Corporate Associate Libby Morris, with support from Trainee William Angwa, advised on all corporate aspects of the transaction, while Employment Partner Alexandra Bonner advised on the employment elements.
Since its founding in 2022 by Caroline Hirons and Alexandra Forbes, Skin Rocks has generated over £10 million in net revenue and is currently stocked at Space NK and Liberty. Redrice Ventures and JamJar Investments specialise in supporting founders to build premium consumer brands and their investment will assist in funding Skin Rocks’ next phase of growth, including the development of its recently launched professional line, Skin Rocks Pro, which will introduce exclusive Skin Rocks products to clinics and professional skin therapists.
Caroline Hirons, founder and chief executive of Skin Rocks commented: “I am delighted to complete our first venture capital fundraising and to secure the support of Redrice and JamJar. I am excited to work with them to expand our consumer-facing and professional product lines and push into international markets. The support and expertise that we received from Ilan and the team at Seddons GSC was invaluable, and I thank them for helping us to navigate this process smoothly and efficiently to secure this exciting outcome.”
Ilan Kotkis, Corporate Partner at Seddons GSC added: “We are thrilled to have advised Skin Rocks on this transformative investment. This type of transaction exemplifies our expertise in supporting founders through this process to secure vital funding for the next stage of a business’s growth. We are excited to continue to support Caroline and Alexandra as they continue to develop this exciting British brand.”
