Neil Russell, Partner and Head of Family, spoke with Nick Ferrari, radio host at LBC, about the reported rise in divorce enquiries that follows the summer holidays.
In his interview, Neil explained why the weeks after a family holiday are among the busiest of the year for family lawyers, including how booked holidays and organised childcare lead couples to delay divorce until September.
Commenting on the trend, Neil said, “the summer places a heavy responsibility particularly on parents who are perhaps waiting to divorce but are waiting for the summer holidays to end.”
He also discussed how September is often seen as a chance to start anew for partners looking to split up from their spouse.
