John Midgley Features in The Sunday Times

Head of Leasehold Enfranchisement, John Midgley, featured in the Sunday Times answering a reader’s question regarding leaseholder rights. The reader asked “My wife and I own one of four leasehold flats in a small block. The manager is one of the four shareholders and has undertaken the role for about five years, but he is moving out. He has given notice he will continue in role for six months to let us make alternative arrangements. What is the legal position of the four leaseholders, present and future, taking over the running of the block as a committee? What must we do to make this arrangement legal? Or do we need a single manager? An alternative option would be to appoint a managing agent, but how does one find such a person or company?”
