Real Estate Dispute Resolution Solicitor Mamta Kudhail considers whether the Building Safety Act adequately addresses concerns such as RAAC. Mamta states “If forensic analysis can show that RAAC material would, inside its life span of 30 years, increase the risk of fire or collapse of a building – or it can be shown that RAAC was the cause of a fire and/or collapse – causing a risk to the safety of persons in or about the relevant or high-risk building, and that building was constructed or converted in the last 30 years, it would be covered by the Building Safety Act.”
