Simon Ross Features in The Times

Simon Ross spoke to The Times regarding Co-Head of Residential Real Estate Emily Lui’s shift of focus to her family business, Cutter & Squidge.

“Simon Ross is the managing partner of Seddons, a London commercial and private client firm. Last year he identified six salaried partners to become full owners. All of them said yes, but one — Emily Lui — had a question: she asked if she could spend six months at her family business, helping her sister Annabel at a key time for the c£7 million turnover cakemaker Cutter & Squidge. It was an unusual request for the 65-lawyer firm, but his ten fellow equity partners unanimously agreed.”

Speaking of the arrangement, Simon said “We worked out how it could be possible and have come up with this quite unique situation. Three months into it, it is working very well.”
