Ran Yu is a Senior Associate in the Commercial Real Estate team at Seddons GSC, specialising in commercial property transactions and real estate finance. She advises on acquisitions, disposals, secured lending and landlord and tenant matters.

Ran regularly acts for clients in the hospitality, retail and franchise sectors, with particular experience in occupational leases, lease renewals, portfolio transactions, franchised businesses and financing.

Since joining the firm in January 2023, she has advised franchisees, investors, landlords and high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of transactional and asset management matters.

Her recent experience includes acting on a portfolio disposal of 33 properties in prime London locations with a total value of up to £25 million. She has also worked closely with franchisees clients on their continued expansion, advising on drive-through units, shopping centre leases, freehold acquisitions and associated financing arrangements.

In addition to her core real estate practice, she often supports the firm’s wider teams on the property aspects of corporate transactions, including a recent £3 million share sale involving a portfolio of five mixed-use buildings. She also acts as a key point of contact for Mandarin-speaking clients internationally, bridging cultural and language differences and supporting the litigation team on complex matters requiring Chinese language capability.

Ran is valued for her commercial approach, strong client relationships and ability to deliver complex transactions efficiently and with confidence.
