Shahrzad Atai

Shahrzad is a highly experienced lawyer with a global perspective, serving high-net-worth individuals, multinational corporations, and governments. With over a decade of expertise, she specializes in banking finance, financial sanctions, cross-border transactions, corporate law, property finance, sharia finance, and dispute resolution.

She began her legal career in 2011 at GSC Solicitors before taking on leadership roles, including Partner and Head of International Clients at a prestigious Mayfair firm, where she founded the International Desk. She has also served as Managing Director at Alvarium Investments and Head of the Middle East Desk. Her tenure at a Kuwaiti family office further enriched her expertise in private wealth management and international business. Before moving to the UK, she worked at Atai & Associates, her family’s law firm.

Shahrzad has received multiple international awards, including Lawyer of the Year for Cross-Border and International Matters, and is a Spear’s 500 recommended advisor. She lectures on international economics at French universities and holds an LLM from the College of Law London, an LLB from the University of Hertfordshire, and a degree in Applied Mathematics.
