Background & Biography

Stepan is a dedicated and results-driven solicitor with a strong foundation in corporate law. Having completed his training across diverse practice areas – including litigation, insolvency and restructuring, as well as conveyancing – Stepan brings a breadth of experience and a meticulous approach to his work. Known for his efficiency and commitment to meeting deadlines, he consistently delivers high-quality results, earning the confidence of clients and colleagues alike.

Outside of work, Stepan has a passion for travel and is currently planning his next adventure to northern Europe and Scandinavia.

Stepan’s has been involved on several large-scale transactions, including a £420 million acquisition for a long-standing client, where his dedication and legal acumen were instrumental in securing a successful outcome. Native in Russian and with a basic command of French, he has a nuanced understanding of international clients’ needs and expectations, particularly those from Russian-speaking backgrounds.

Stepan’s practical and versatile legal skills are complemented by his enthusiasm for tackling complex legal challenges. He particularly values the dynamic nature of corporate work.

Stepan graduated from MGIMO University with the Bachelor of Laws (LLB, 2015) and the Master of Laws (LLM, 2017) degrees in Russian law. He then went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL, 2018) with commendation and the Master of Laws in Legal Practice (LLM LPC, 2019) with distinction at BPP Law School, London where he obtained expertise in English law.

Since his qualification as a solicitor in 2022, Stepan has established himself as a trusted advisor in corporate law.
