Alexandra is a Partner and Co-Head of our Employment department. Alexandra provides commercial and pragmatic advice to clients which range from SMEs to large international organisations and senior executives. Alexandra deals with all aspects of the employment relationship, both contentious and non-contentious helping clients achieve their objectives.
Alexandra regularly advises clients in relation to business reorganisations and restructures, the applicability of TUPE (and dealing with TUPE issues as they arise), disciplinary and grievance procedures and exiting employees. She also provides specialist dispute resolution assistance with employment-based claims, such as claims for breach of contract (including bonus claims), discrimination, unfair and constructive unfair dismissal in the Employment Tribunal and the Courts.
Additionally, she has a wealth of experience drafting and taking steps to enforce post-termination restrictions, including obtaining injunctive relief. Alexandra also supports her colleagues by providing practical assistance with all employment aspects of commercial transactions.

Advised an international client in relation to allegations of discrimination and successfully resolved the matter including the employee’s exit without proceedings being issued.
Advised a hospitality business in relation to discrimination claims brought against it.
The first claim was successfully resolved to the client’s satisfaction following a judicial mediation and the other claim was settled for a nominal amount only.
Advised on the employment aspects of an acquisition of a water bottling business including in relation to TUPE and securing wide ranging indemnities. Following the acquisition, dealt successfully with claims brought by the union on behalf of its members for alleged failures under TUPE. The matter was resolved amicably.
Assisted a client with the exit of an employee with health issues without any claims being raised against the client.
Advised an international business on the dismissal of an employee for gross misconduct notwithstanding that the employee had previously raised grievances. The matter was successfully resolved before the claim was heard by the tribunal for significantly less than the client had offered at an earlier stage.
