Carole specialises in commercial and residential sales, purchases, landlord and tenant matters, and property finance. While these areas are transaction-driven, her relationships with business owners, private investors, franchise operators, developers, and residential clients go much deeper.
“Before agreements are reached, we assess risks and ensure clients aren’t exposed to unexpected costs,” Carole explains. “It’s easier to address potential pitfalls in advance.” The pandemic, for example, highlighted the importance of including rent reduction clauses for future disruptions.
Clients return to Carole for her conscientious, dependable, and commercially-minded approach. “I focus on pragmatic solutions, keeping costs and timescales under control. I also build strong working relationships with opposing lawyers—it’s about achieving results, not scoring points.”
She enjoys the intellectual stimulation of her work and values collaborating with talented colleagues. “The weeks fly by. It’s fulfilling to engage with smart people and hear their perspectives.”
Carole qualified as a solicitor in 1994, spending 10 years at Nabarro before joining the firm in 2013 and becoming a partner in 2018.
Legal 500 praises her as practical and business-savvy, ensuring costs and timescales remain under control.
Outside of work, she enjoys theatre, ballet, reading, and dining out.
