Danél joined Seddons in July 2021 and is based in Cape Town as the firm’s Risk Manager and Privacy Officer. She works closely with the COLP and the MLRO as part of the Risk and Compliance Team.
Danél is an experienced lawyer and risk professional and has over 10 years’ experience in risk and compliance through various roles held within a corporate environment since 2009. She has both the transactional experience and focuses on risk, systems, and process.
Danél works to ensure the firm introduces adequate controls and effective measures to minimize our risk areas, and to ensure the firm and its solicitors comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
As the firm’s Privacy Officer, she responsible for ensuring that we are GDPR compliant.
