Leon Golstein is a Partner and the Head of the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Team at Seddons GSC.
With more than 30 years of direct litigation experience, much of it in complex real estate disputes, Leon now leads Seddons GSC’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team. He and his colleagues assist individuals who have suffered significant harm as a result of accidents, third party negligence or medical malpractice. The team guides clients through the often lengthy processes of claim management, litigation, negotiation and mediation, helping them secure the financial redress and ongoing support they are entitled to receive.
Leon’s team advises on a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including incorrect or delayed diagnosis, surgical mistakes, complications arising from elective eye surgery and failures in cosmetic procedures. The team also acts in serious personal injury claims, particularly those involving major road traffic accidents.
A trained mediator with strong alternative dispute resolution skills, Leon brings a calm, strategic and analytical approach to his work. His years on the firm’s Risk and Compliance Team have given him extensive experience handling complex, high risk and multi party disputes in the courts and tribunals. He provides clear advice, practical guidance and consistent support to clients at every stage of the legal process.
Leon is a trained mediator and has had active advocacy experience both in the County Court and First-tier Tribunal. He has defended clients in prosecutions over environmental contamination, unlawful eviction, tenant harassment and breach of HMO regulation.
Leon’s clients include landlords and tenants, PLCs, developers, secured lenders, Trusts and overseas client’s with UK property interests. He has an interest in training, and was at one time, part of the training team for critical decision making in policing with the National Centre for Applied Learning Technologies.
